Time and presents

I don't make New Year's resolutions, and I don't want to hear any bitching about being a day late with that remark.

Are we clear?

I don't know about you, but if I can't get my fat ass off the couch on a random Tuesday in August, I'm not going to suddenly become Ms. Inspired & Changed for the Better on January 1st.

My motto is, "There is no time, just give me presents."

Or maybe it was "There is no time, just one small present is fine."

Wait....oh, yeah here it is, "There is no time like the present.  Now go buy me presents".  I think that is something all of us need to embrace, right here, right now.

I love how you are sorta kinda motivated to consume and stimulate the economy. Maybe. If you get around to it.

I say, "It's January 1st? Time for me to pick up a few more pathetic & expensive cats."

Totally agree.

And I think presents are a fabulous idea to help our friends in the retail industry get through this Economic Downturn. I really think we ought to help the fine folks at Crate & Barrel (if my husband happens to see this one...)

I'm going to stimulate the economy like a car crash, yo!

I wanted to go walking a few days ago and my co-worker who was like "Yeah lets try to be more active" actually said "Un, I am gonna wait til after the first to do anything like that".
Whatev!
And OMG, I used to go to Weight Watchers and the first meeting of the New Year I stood in line for 45minutes just to get weighed because of all the derned "Newbies" and their friggin New Years Resolutions to lose weight!
This went on for about 5 weeks then it was just the regular 12 of us again. (and yea, my ass is still huge...)

I can't wait to start working out again. I'm just too tired after work & the kittehs get pissy if I'm gone for too long during the day. After my temp gig is up it's back to working out 5 days a week - makes me feel so much better!

Wench...in Kung Fu Panda, the wise old turtle says to KFP, the past is history, the future a mystery and today is a gift. That is why it's called the present.

So I love that your resolution is to get presents! Because New Years resolutions are always about today, in the moment.
