Temp days are over
When I started my temp job back in October, working again was a bit of a shock to my system.
Now it's the end of January and the gig is over. Time to reflect again? Oh yes, I think so.
I bring you: Things I Will Not Miss About Working (this job in particular and jobs in general, just for giggles).
- Really, really bad coffee and powdered creamer.
- Being too worn out to drag myself to the gym after work.
- Having You Tube videos blocked.
- The Mommy and Me group that meets right out side our office Every Single Day.
- The urine soaked smelling elevators.
Consequently, I will miss working with my favorite boss & some of the cool people I've met here. And while it's been a bit smelly, working in an office in a shopping mall definitely has its perks.

Woohoo, Jenn is back!
Welcome back!
Well it's about time you stopped working!
Now everyone expects me to post more often. Dang it!
Right, now you have time to work on your novel. Heroic wench battling some evil empire types, it is a perfect fit. Get the Hr_Minion to help write it with you and a best seller is assured!
Can't help with the fragrant elevator or babbling toddlers, but at least there's a solution to the coffee situation. You need an Aeropress! OMG, this thing rocks, and it's less than $30. Pick up a case of Mini Moos at Staples or Amazon.com (real half & half, not that non-dairy glurge), and you're free from the slings and arrows of outrageous office coffee service.
Just as your short-term assignment ends, I may be starting my own. At least I hope so - the cats refuse to pay for their own food.
(I didn't mind that my old employer blocked YouTube... but then they blocked Twitter? Nooooooo!)
Was there an Orange Julius in the mall? That would rock.
Steve - That's not a bad idea...
Perrik - That coffee sounds tasty, but full of effort on *my* part. You know how I feel about effort. :)
Underling - Dude, there was an Orange Julius AND a Jamba Juice. It was a double whammy mall.
